Check valves, also known as one-way valves or non-return valves, are an automatic valve that automatically opens and closes by the force generated by the flow of the medium in the pipeline. Check valves are used in pipeline systems. Their main functions are to prevent the backflow of the medium, the reverse rotation of the pump and its drive motor, and the release of the medium in the container. Check valves can also be used in pipelines that provide supply to auxiliary systems where the pressure may rise to a level that exceeds the main system pressure.
